The process of powder coating MDF or wood has been around for about 18 years. At first, finishes were very limited, but today we can offer almost unlimited color selection in a wide variety of finishes, from a micro-texture to a smooth high gloss finish, as well as virtually endless metallic and hammer tone finishes.

Medium Density Fiberboard or MDF is a wood material made from various wood fibers. MDF is produced by combining the wood fibers with a resin, high temperatures, and pressure. Finishing wood with powder is becoming increasingly popular because of the many advantages it offers to manufacturers and consumers alike. The powder is dry and does not require any solvents. The process of powder coating on MDF is quite different from applying a liquid paint.
